Who is it for?

I support children to become clear, confident communicators.

I provide online speech therapy for children with speech sound disorders. These are children who have difficulty pronouncing certain sounds clearly. This can make them harder to understand and may affect their confidence.

I tailor therapy to your child’s unique speech patterns. Together, we work to improve clarity, build confidence, and help your child enjoy communicating every day.

Why work on speech sounds?

Not all speech errors require therapy. That’s why a speech assessment is so important. It helps determine:

  • What types of errors your child is making
  • Whether the errors are typical for their age
  • How their speech is affecting daily life
  • Whether the errors are likely to resolve on their own

If needed, therapy can help your child become easier to understand and feel more confident speaking.

Clear speech also supports early literacy. In fact, research shows that some children who still have speech difficulties when they start school may be at higher risk for challenges with phoneme awareness, reading, and spelling (e.g. Nathan et al., 2004).

How does it work?

I provide speech assessment and therapy entirely online (Telehealth).

Online therapy offers the same quality support as in-person services — without leaving home. It’s really just like face to face therapy. I help children to stay engaged and focused by playing interactive games, sharing screens, and using physical toys and games.

It can be a great option for families who:

  • Live in rural or remote areas
  • Have busy schedules
  • Want more flexibility, such as enabling you to focus on your child during their therapy session while siblings play or sleep elsewhere
  • Prefer therapy in their child’s natural environment, which can help with generalisation of skills
  • Have limited transport options
  • Are waiting for local in-person services

Therapy options

You can choose between regular therapy sessions or a home program.

Regular Therapy Sessions

These are often best for:

  • Children with multiple speech sound errors
  • Families who want ongoing guidance and support

Home Program

A home program gives you structured activities and resources to carry out therapy yourself.

This usually includes:

  • One follow-up session after the assessment to explain the program and answer questions
  • Optional review sessions for progress checks and troubleshooting

What do I need?

You will need:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A computer or tablet (e.g. iPad – phones are not ideal due to screen size)

I will email you a link before your session. Just click to join — no downloads required.

Do I need to be involved?

Yes — and your involvement makes a big difference.

Just like with in-person services, children make the most progress when parents are actively involved. Being present during sessions helps you understand how to support practice at home.

Does it work?

Yes. Telehealth is an effective way to deliver speech therapy.

Many children:

  • Enjoy using screens
  • Find it easier to focus online
  • Feel more comfortable learning in their own home

You will receive homework activities by email — no therapy books to keep track of.

Every child is different. If I believe online therapy is not the right fit for your child, I will discuss this openly and help you consider other options.
